About Us - First Nations Art in Mission BC

Welcome to the world of Red and Yellow Design, a Native-owned small business nestled in the picturesque town of Mission, British Columbia. This multigenerational family effort is collaboration between a master bentwood box maker passionate about passing on his knowledge of traditional craftsmanship, and the dedication of a son committed to learning an rare art form while simultaneously addressing the challenges of making a  First Nations art business sustainable. 

Positioned just a stone’s throw from the mighty Fraser River, the small workshop where Peter Gong and Matt Gong work side by side is truly a crossroads of tradition and innovation.
